What is the Weekend Special? read more
The weekend special is applied to all the car licence trucks.
The price includes collection anytime Friday between 7:30 am and 3:30 pm and return before 9:00 am on Monday.
The trucks come with ropes, trolly and blankets (please return them with the truck ????)
200km distance travel comes with your hire price, if you travel over the 200km then they are charged at 40cents per km
(Example Cairns - Townsville - Cairns would cost about $240 in additional kilometres which is on top of the hire price)
A $300 bond is held on a credit or debit card during your time of hire.
Do I need to complete my Express-Check-In? read more
We recommend that you complete your Express-Check-In (on your booking confirmation) to confirm and complete your hire paperwork. If your hire paperwork is complete there is no need for you to wait around in our office on your collection day you may grab the keys and go.
The Express-Check-In also allows you to add any additional drivers that can not be present on the day to ensure they are covered by our insurance.
If I cancel my reservation after I've paid in full do I get a refund? read more
30+ days = 20% of full rental charges (deposits are non-refundable)
14+ days = 50% of full rental charges
7 + days or less = full rental charges
If I have an accident and the hire vehicle is not damaged do I need to inform 1300 Truckhire? read more
Yes, all incidents need to be reported to 1300 Truckhire. The information can be forwarded to , call 07 4032 3448 or let our staff know in the office.
Why is this important? Failure to inform 1300 Truckhire within 48 hours of an incident where damage has occurred, whether to property or another vehicle, will result in denial of insurance coverage.

The bond varies depending on which vehicles you are hiring.
- Car licence trucks: $300 bond
- 4wds: $2000 bond
- Truck licence trucks: $2000
- Vans & utes: $300
- Bus: $1000
What is the Bond for?
The bond held during your time of hire is used for fuel charges, extra kilometres, additional days hire or a vehicle excess in an event of an accident.
How long for my bond to get refunded? read more
- Trucks, utes and van bonds are refunded the next business day after return.
- 4wd & bus bonds will be refunded 3 business days after the vehicle has been returned.
- Depending on your banking institution it can take 3 to 10 business days for the bond to show back up into your account.
Do I need a credit card to hire from 1300 Truckhire? read more
- Credit and Debit Cards are accepted at 1300 Truckhire.
- Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
- PayPal can be used when booking online
- Bonds are held on a Visa or Mastercard debit/credit card
Are there administration or credit card surcharges? read more
No administration fee or credit/debit card surcharges are applied at 1300 Truckhire.
If an administration fee is showing up on your reservation that is the bond held during the time of your hire.
Do I need to fill the vehicle up with fuel? read more
Vehicles need to be filled with fuel before return.

Where can I travel with trucks, utes, vans and buses? read more
1300 Truckhire trucks, utes, vans and buses can be driven through Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia & Northern Tertiary. These vehicles must remain on SEALED ROADS. All vehicles must be returned to 1300 Truckhire in Cairns.

Where can I travel with a 4WD hire from 1300 Truckhire? read more
1300 Truckhire 4wds are insured to travel to Cape York, The Australian Outback and more. The only exclusions are The Old Telegraph Track, CREBB Track and beach driving.
Do I need an Australian Driver's Licence? read more
An open Australian Drivers Licence must be held by the driver of the hire vehicle. 1300 Truckhire does not accept International or Foreign Licences.
Can I drop off the vehicle when 1300 Truckhire is closed? read more
Yes, there is a dropbox on the front door for the keys.

What is the maximum & minimum time I can hire? read more
- Trucks, Vans, and Utes have a minimum of 24hr hire
- Buses have a minimum hire of 3 days
- 4wds have a minimum hire of 5 days
Can I park my car at 1300 Truckhire? read more
Yes if there is room for your vehicle, but 1300 Truckhire takes no responsibility for your vehicle.
